Step 1: Assess
Knowing what is going on in your body gives you huge piece of mind! That is why we set aside a full 40 minutes for your first session so that we have time to diagnose your condition and find out the underlying cause that made it happen in the first place. Then we get stuck into treatment.
Step 2: Treat the Symptoms and the Cause
We get straight on to treating the pain, tightness and any limitations you are finding as a result of your injury. We do this by utilising hands-on manual therapy. We then get you actively involved in your rehab by giving you exercises to do at home in between physio sessions.
In most cases, there is an underlying cause that led to your condition. For example, a stiff upper back leading to headaches, or poor gluteal strength leading to a hamstring tear or tightness. These are just a few examples, but these things are so often missed during treatment. Treating the cause means we get a longer term and more effective outcome.
Step 3: Prevent
Our rehab and treatments are individualised and specific to what you are wanting to get back to, whether this be sport, work or gardening for example. We will also give you advice and self-management tools to reduce the risk of this happening again.
